Articulate what you think and feel

I think I am an introvert because I enjoy sitting alone silently, although sometimes I prefer to have a company.
I don't like being with a large group of people. I prefer going out with just one or two people because that's when I get to engage them in a more meaningful conversation.
I realise a large of people gathering together usually end up gossiping about other people.
As a result, I don't talk much, just to a particular few.

However, I gradually realise the need to articulate what I think and feel.
I have always been fascinated by people who have the charisma to attract people to listen to them.
These are the people whom we can't help but like.
Through interacting with them, I understand the importance of putting feelings and thoughts into words because the ideas will be clearer once you identify them with a label (as a word or a phrase).
However, given the limitations of languages, not all ideas and feelings can be translated into words but they can be closely identified.

When you are faced with a problem, for example a feeling of getting betrayed, was it a question of jealousy or a question of loyalty?
Once you identify the feelings and place a label to it, the solution becomes clearer and you are guided towards the solution.
In the process of doing the above mentioned, if you realise can't identify the problem, it is because you don't know your problem well enough. You need to go back and sort it out although in some cases, it is so complex that you really can't identify it but these cases are rare.

I am searching for a balance between being an introvert and an extrovert.
Articulating what I think and feel certainly help to understand myself better because certain ideas only come through when I am communicating with others.
A wise man once said, "If you can't explain simply, you don't understand it well enough."
I totally agree with it.
I know I am not a person who opens up easily to other people because I am consciously aware of my audience. I choose my audience wisely.
From today onwards, I will try to express myself to people whom I trust because I believe it is an important practice that will benefit me.
